In this case teachers into schools. So despite all the threats and gloom Boris and Gavin said schools WILL open today and they did. Well done.

Now lets have a divide. There are those teachers who went in to schools today and without any fuss or artificial obstructions got down to their job, which is teaching children, Well done you.

Now the rest – the union leaders, local authority obstructers and the rest of the teaching workforce. Did you read the various pathetic excuses for not opening or not opening properly. We did not have enough time – so what have you been doing – having meetings about how not to open I presume. I did not think we really were going to open so we have made no preparations – you thought the unions would win the argument – well you were wrong so get off your well padded posterior and get the school open. I know we sent you a message saying we would be open but we have changed our mind (this to a father and son when they had the temerity to turn up at school) – and you call yourselves professionals.

I could go on and on, excuse after excuse, all pathetic or made up even. From the unions purely political and everyone knows it. Do they realise how ridiculous, weak, and cynically self centred they make themselves look. It is perfectly obvious that the last thing any union official and sadly too many of their members are concerned about is the children – wouldn’t school be a nice place if we didn’t have to have children in them. Especially snotty, dirty ones according to the leader of the largest union.

Of course some parents are a bit worried given all the scare stories and misinformation so quite rightly nobody was forcing them to turn up today – I just hope they will be reassured and send their children tomorrow – or more likely their children will demand to go – who said children don’t have minds of their own.

Stop these feeble excuses and do your job and unions and local politicians stop your shameful obstructions.
