Our Westminster masters just get worse! I agree with the Nasal Knight on that. Just when you hoped things might get better the Despicable Duo come out with the attempt to starve hard up pensioners to death and thereby reduce NHS waiting lists. Of course it was a nice gesture to give the Winter Fuel payment to all pensioners but if things are really tough not paying it to Higher Rate Tax payers would have been sensible and not objected to by most of those who would have been giving it up. Even putting an income level a bit lower than that would not have been objected to by recipients who have a comfortable income. But targeting those relying mainly on State Pension on low income is just despicable. And if you can claim a benefit so as to qualify guess what – you have to fill in a 350 question form to apply! Still got to find the money to pay the train drivers so they can finance going back on strike again.

Mind you Sir K has his own indexed link pension as well as his PM salary, but anyway he’s not old enough to claim Winter Fuel allowance yet!
